​Cassondra is the Founder & Owner of Pilates MVMT Studio

"My journey into the world of Pilates started in 2013 as a personal quest for balance and strength. After taking my first Pilates class, I was immediately intrigued by its complexity, and it was an easy choice to become an avid student. I fell in love with not only the theory and exercises but also the endless benefits I experienced both mentally and physically.

 

In 2015, this passion led me to become a Certified STOTT PILATES® Instructor. There is something to be said about the STOTT PILATES® method and its emphasis on biomechanics, athletic performance enhancement, and rehabilitation.

 

With a background in STOTT PILATES®, I’ve come to appreciate the incredible benefits this method brings. From improved flexibility to enhanced core strength, Pilates is the foundation upon which I build my fitness philosophy. My commitment to my students extends far beyond the mat and Pilates apparatuses. I firmly believe in the significance of skeletal muscle for overall health and longevity. Building and maintaining muscle plays a crucial role in aging gracefully, limiting injury, disease, and pain.

 

As a fervent advocate for well-rounded fitness, I’ve seamlessly integrated strength training into my sessions both off and on the Reformers. Pilates forms the bedrock of my approach, which encompasses a diverse range of exercises designed to sculpt and strengthen the entire body. It’s not just about aesthetics; it’s about fostering a resilient, functional body that stands the test of time.

 

Over the years, I’ve trained competitive athletes, collaborated with local physiotherapists, osteopathic and chiropractors to support rehabilitative clients, and specialized in pre and postnatal Pilates. Above all, I’m passionate about promoting active aging, helping clients maintain strength and mobility well into their senior years.

 

In 2021, I opened my home studio in Mount Brydges, where I dedicated myself to building a community focused on health and wellness. It quickly became wait listed and remained at capacity for years. I recognized the growing need to service more clients and provide expanded offerings. This realization gave birth to Pilates MVMT 2.0, our new Studio that opened on March 1st, 2025, where we transitioned into a commercial space just down the street! This new chapter allows me to create a more dynamic environment, build an incredible team of Pilates Instructors, and welcome larger group classes while continuing to offer private, semi-private, and trio sessions.

Whether I’m teaching a group class or a private session, my goal is to provide a balance of functional exercises with an element of challenge and progression, all while keeping the experience fun and safe for my clients. I’m inspired daily by the transformations I witness as clients prioritize their health and embrace the benefits of Pilates.

 

When I’m not teaching, you’ll likely find me in the studio practicing Pilates or in the gym lifting heavier weights—because there’s room for both in functional fitness! Outside of the studio, I enjoy the simple joys of life—gardening, kayaking, fishing/hunting, and exploring the outdoors with my husband and our son, who we welcomed into the world in 2020."
